BHMAA is thrilled to announce the formation of the Allendale Youth Orchestra! Beginning in the fall of 2018, students in 2nd and 3rd grades will be able to take violin, viola or cello after school at Hillside. We are hoping to expand the program to older students in the near future.  We appreciate the amazing original grant for StringTime, where a local grandparent generously donated lessons and violins for local 2nd and 3rd graders. Thank you all so much for your continued support, which allowed us to expand and build upon this generous donation.

We are thrilled to announce that our teacher will be Mr. Joseph Dubbiosi.

Joseph Dubbiosi is a graduate of New Jersey City University, receiving his Bachelors/Masters degrees, teaching degree and supervisory certificate in education. He has studied with Louise Behrend at the Julliard School of Music, Jaques Rubenstein from the New York Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Nicholas Cerrato, resident conductor for NJCU Symphony of Winds and several Broadway musicals including West Side Story & Cats.

Joseph is currently the district specialist of the Bergenfield Public School System, where he developed a successful string and orchestral program on the middle school level. He is now teaching three full orchestras at the Bergenfield High School. His orchestras have performed at several Orchestra festivals, Disney Epcot Center and Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. Joseph has also conducted for several local theater organizations for shows including Tick, Tick Boom and Camelot. He has also performed on several commercials for radio and TV and original artists.  He is also the Director of the Bergenfield Summer Enrichment Music Program and is an adjunct professor at NJCU. He enjoys performing as a violinist and conductor throughout the New York Metropolitan area.
